Planering för Institutet - Planning for the Institute

Det blev en kanondag idag. Jag fick lite sovmorgon och tog tåget kl 08 mot Stockholm. Klockan 12 skulle jag möta Mikael, Suzanne, Margareta och Richard vid restaurang Proviant på Sturegatan 19. Maten var fantastisk. Jag åt råbiff som är bland det godaste jag vet. 

Sedan hade vi planeringsmöte för höstens Rotary Institute på Arlanda och firandet av The Rotary Foundation 100 år som kommer att vara på Rotary Peace Center i Uppsala. Det kommer att bli ett fantastiskt evenemang. 

Vi var hemma hos Margareta som har en jättefin och stor våning och som generöst bjöd hem oss på kaffe och bullar. 

Huvudfokus för mötet var kommunikationen - som jag ansvarar för. Vi gick igenom hemsidan som Micael Olsson har hjälpt oss med - planerade utskick och bestämde oss för att vi inte ska ha någon ljudlogotype eftersom det kändes svårt att bestämma sig för vilken inriktning en sådan skulle ha.

It was a great day today. I took the train at 08 o'clock for Stockholm this morning. At 12 o'clock I met with Mikael, Suzanne, Margareta and Richard at the restaurant called Proviant. The food was fantastic. I ate steak tartare that is among the tastiest food I know.

Then we had the meeting to plan for Rotary Institute this fall, and also the celebration of The Rotary Foundation 100 years that will take place at the Rotary Peace Center in Uppsala. There will be two fantastic events.

We hade the meeting at the home of Margareta who has a really nice and big apartment and who generously invited us for coffee and buns.

The main focus of the meeting was communication - which I am responsible for. We went through the website that Micael Olsson has helped us with - we scheduled mailings and decided that we should not have any sound logotype because it felt difficult to decide which direction this would have.

Rotary 111 år - och förberedelser för helgen - Rotarys birhday - and preparations for next weekend

Emellanåt så tar livet och jobbet helt enkelt all tid... Så har jag haft det under några veckor. Jag har ju flera jobb, bland annat som kommunikationschef på ett energibolag och dessutom som egen konsult där jag jobbar för Trafikerat och några till. Oftast flyter det på bra, men så plötsligt så händer allt på en gång och jag jobbar både dag och natt. Nu har det varit så under en tid. Under de perioderna måste helt enkelt Rotary prioriteras bort. 
Jag hoppas att jag nu kommer in i en mer "normal" period igen. 

Just nu förbereder jag in föreläsning i Ö-vik till helgen. Jag ska föreläsa tillsammans med Jens-Erik Rasmussen från Zon 16. Vi hade skypemöte igår kväll och pratade igenom detaljerna. 

Och idag är det ju dessutom Rotarys födelsedag - väl värt att uppmärksamma!!!! 

Occasionally, life and work takes all your time ... So I have had it for a few weeks. I have several jobs, including as a communications manager at an energy company and I also work as a private consultant, where I work for The Swedish Transportation Administration and a few more organisations. Suddenly a lot of things happens all at once and I have to work day and night. Now it has been so for some time. During those periods I have to prioritize work.

I hope that I now will enter a more "normal" period again.
Right now I preparing the lectures in Ö-vik next weekend. I will lecture together with Jens Erik Rasmussen in Zone 16. We had a Skype meeting last night and talked through the details. It will be a lot of fun. 

And today it is the addition of Rotary's birthday - well worth paying attention !!!!

Ett okänt nummer - An unknown number called

Ett okänt nummer ringde idag. Jag svarade nyfiket. Det var Kennth Gustafsson från Örnsköldsvik som är inkommande guvernör i sitt distrikt. han ville att jag ska komma upp till Ö-vik och föreläsa på deras PETS, en lördag om ett par veckor. Han lockade också med en hockeymatch och middag. På lördagen ska jag hålla en föreläsning på temat "Vart är vi på väg" och på söndag förmiddag en work shop/grupparbeten om PR. Det blir jättekul. 

An unknown number called today. I replied curiously. It was Kennth Gustafsson from Ornskoldsvik he is incoming governor of their district. He wanted me to come up to Ornskoldsvik (in the north of Sweden) to lecture on their PETS, a Saturday a few weeks from now. He also offered me to watch a hockey game, and have a nice dinner. On Saturday, I will give a lecture on the theme "Where are we going" and on Sunday morning a work shop / group work on public relations. It will be great fun.

2 Skypemöte idag - 2 skypemeetings today

En intensiv men rolig arbetsdag avslutades med 2 Skype-möten för att prata Rotary. Det började med ett möte med Mikael och Mikael. Det handlar om hemsidan som vi ska lansera ikväll - den som Rotary Institute 2016. Micael har hittat tt bra system för att ta hand om anmälningar och sedan också kapa relation med besökarna med hjälp av en app.
Mötet avslutades och sedan var det dags för ett möte med Zon-Teamet. Vi var många som samsades på skärmen och den enda rapporten avlöste den andra. Något att ta med sig är att det just nu behövs mycket pengar för Polio Plus! Vi är i ett kritiskt skede, rapporterade Per, och det behövs mycket pengar. 
Vi kunde också konstatera att vi behöver få ut mer information om The Rotary Foundation och vad det är för något. Det är ett trevligt gäng som leder Zon 15 och 16. I vår så ses vi öga mot öga, då ska vi åka till Krakow. Det ser jag fram emot!




An intense but fun day ended with two Skype meetings to talk about Rotary. It began with a meeting with Michael and Mikael. It's about the website we are launching tonight - the Rotary Institute 2016.
Micael has found a good system to handle registrations, and then also to handle the relationship with the visitors using an app.
The first meeting ended, and after a cup of coffee then it was time for a meeting with the Zone team. Everyone but one person attended the meeting, and the on report after another where presented. Something to take with you is that right now the much needed money for PolioPlus! We are at a critical stage, Per reported, and it is needed a lot of money.
We could also noted that we need to publish more information about The Rotary Foundation. It's a nice bunch of people that leads Zone 15 and 16. This spring we'll see each other eye to eye, when we will go to Krakow. I look forward to it!
