Rotarys dokumentärfilm The Rotary Family Health Days vann 2 Telly Awards - The Rotary documentary film The Rotary Health Days, won two Telly Awards

Rotary har en avdelning för film. Den här avdelningen har producerat en dokumentärfilm om rotarianen Marion Bunch. Marion arbetar för att förhindra spridningen av hiv/aids i fattiga afrikanska städer. Filmen heter "Rotary Family Health Days” och för ett par veckor sedan vann filmen 2 st Telly Awards. Den prestigefyllda Telly Awards delas årligen ut till de finaste film- och videoproduktionerna i USA.

Filmen följer två kvinnor. En farmor som tar hand om sina barnbarn eftersom föräldrarna dött i aids. Den andra kvinnan är Marion Bunch som jobbar med aidsfrågan eftersom henne son dött i sjukdomen.
 - På grund av en tragedi som förändrades mitt liv, från affärskvinna till kämpe mot aids och för mänskliga rättigheter, säger hon.

Rotary Family Health Days är ett projekt som startats av Marion Bunch och som levererar hälsvård till fattiga samhällen i Ghana, Nigeria, Sydafrika och Uganda. Det är nu inne på sitt femte år.

"Vi ville göra en film för att visa icke rotarianer vilka goda gärningar som görs inom Rotary berättade producenten Andrew Chudzinski på Rotary Internationals hemsida.

Dokumentären har visats i hela Afrika av TV-bolaget South African Broadcasting Corporation. Och Marion har besökt Vita Huset för att berätta om sitt arbete och ta emot ett pris som en av 10 kvinnor som fått ”Rotary Women of Action” 2014.

Rotary has a department for film. This department has produced a documentary about the Rotarian Marion Bunch. Marion works to prevent the spread of HIV / AIDS in poor African cities. The film is called "The Rotary Family Health Days "and a couple of weeks ago the film won 2 Telly Awards. The prestigious Telly Awards annually awarded to the finest film and video productions in the United States.

The film follows two women. A grandmother who takes care of her grandchildren because their parents died of AIDS. The other woman is Marion Bunch working with the AIDS issue since her son died of the disease.

 - Due to a tragedy that changed my life, from business woman to fighter against AIDS and Human Rights, she says.

Rotary Family Health Days is a project initiated by Marion Bunch and delivering hälsvård to poor communities in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda. It is now in its fifth year.

"We wanted to make a film to show non-Rotarians that good deeds done in Rotary said producer Andrew Chudzinski.

The documentary has been shown in all of Africa by the broadcaster South African Broadcasting Corporation. And Marion have visited the White House to talk about their work and receive an award as one of 10 women who received "Rotary Women of Action" in 2014.
