It has been a long time since I blogged! I am in South Africa on vacation. My brother lives here and the whole family has gathered to celebrate my 50th birthday, which was the 28th of October. We spent the day on safari out on the South African savannah with the "Big 5". We lived luxuriously in your own little "mini-village" in the reservation that was called The Black Rhino. The actual birthday qualify as the best in my entire life actually ... so I guess I would call it successful.
Today I met a South African black woman who is married to a colleague of my brother. We have visited the Apartheid Museum and the Mandela House, had lunch in Soweto and dinner at the home of my brother and his wife. This woman, whose name I can not spell - is working in an NGO organization that, among other things, work with maternal and infant health. I tipped her course of Rotary that has the issue among our most important subjects.
I hope I can get her in contact with Rotary in a near future.
I found this nice picture on my Facebook wall today too. Happy Halloween to you all! And a picture from my safari of course!
