We are in this together

Han är karismatisk och har en väldig pondus. Han är dessutom snygg. 

KR Ravindran är nästa RI President, det vill säga den person som befinner sig högst upp av alla inom Rotary. Han viftar bort alla som vill smickra honom. Han vill gå rakt på sak och det känns som om han tittar mig rakt i ögonen när han säger "We are in this togheter

- Ni har alla blivit handplockade för era uppdrag. Vi anser att ni är de bästa som finns inom era respektive områden och zoner… säger han. 

Det är ju väldigt smickrande, dom har ju hittat mig… Han fortsätter; - Nu måste ni se till att leva upp till förväntningarna. 
Vi måste samarbeta inom klubbar, distrikt, länder och zoner. Tillsammans ska vi föra Rotary framåt och möta alla utmaningar som vi står inför. Han känns som en riktig ledare… 

Jag tappar en mintkaramell på golvet som studsar iväg med små glada ljud… Någons telefon ringer. Annars är det ganska tyst.. Bakom honom hänger alla världens flaggor rakt ner men ändå imponerande på något sätt. 

Vi behöver samordning, säger han också. Om vi ska nå ut och få bra effekt så måste vi veta vad som händer. Den kunskapen skaffar vi oss genom att samarbete, samverka i våra tekniska system, visa upp en enhetlig bild av Rotary och dela med oss av erfarenheter och framgångar. 

He is very charismatic. And he is good looking… 

KR Ravindran is the next RI president, that is, the person who is at the top in Rotary. He waves away anyone who wants to flatter him. He wants to go straight to the point and it feels as if he's looking me straight in the eye when he says, "We're in this together".

We must work together in clubs, districts, countries and zones. Together we will bring Rotary forward and meet all the challenges that we face. 

He feels as a real leader ...

I drop a mint candy on the floor that bounces off with happy little sounds ... Someone's phone is ringing. Otherwise, it's pretty quiet .. Behind him hangs all the flags of the world straight down but still impressive.

We need coordination, he says. If we are to reach out and get good effect we need to know what happens. The knowledge we gain through cooperation, join hands in our technical systems, present a consistent image of Rotary and share our experiences and successes.
